If you used to have an android phone earlier, then you should have a Google Account, and that can be used to sync contacts between your Android phone and iPhone. If you don’t have a Google phone, then you need to get one first. You can do this by going to the Google accounts option and click on create a new account. Once you are done creating an account make sure to log in to the account on both your android phone and iPhone.

To login to your Google account in iPhone, head to your settings menu and search for ‘Mails, Contacts, and calendar’ option. Click on the option and click on the ‘Add account’ option and login with your Google account. You can sync the contact between them, or you can also save all contacts to your account. You can do this by going to the contacts option on your iPhone and then on the settings options head to import and export contact. From here, you can save all your contacts from your phone to google account. Next, you can sync your contact from your Google account to your android phone. You can either select syncing directly from your Google account without saving your contacts to account. From your iPhone, you can choose what to sync to your android phone and select contacts. Also, you need to take care of internet connectivity to be on during the process. Keep a check on the contact, whether they are synced or not, because your iPhone will not notify you for the completion of the process. You can check the process from the website of Google Contacts by visiting on the desktop.

Using iCloud

Just like Google Drive is the cloud storage from an android phone, the same is with the iPhone as they have iCloud. Just like Google drive account, the iCloud account as well can be used to sync your settings and contacts on iPhone. So how to share your contacts from the iPhone to your Android with the help of iCloud?

  • To share your contacts from iPhone first of all, you need to login to your iCloud account on your iPhone. To do this, you need to visit the settings menu of your iPhone, and then click on ‘Mails, Contacts, and Calendar’ option. Click on add account under the Accounts section and then enter your iCloud account there. You will see a contacts option, click on it and turn it on. Your device will ask you to merge your device contacts with iCloud.

  • Now visit Gmail on your desktop and similarly search for the contact option. Click on the ‘More’ tab, select the option to import and choose your vCard file which you have exported in the previous step. After you have done the importing, you will find that there are some duplicate contacts as well. You can remove all of it, as there’s an option to merge all the duplicate contacts.

Sharing Using Text Message Or Mail

You should prefer not to use this method if you have a lot of contacts as this process will involve manual selection and sharing and then saving to your phone. For this process, you will be using a text message or mail service to send your contact that you want to manually. This process makes it easy for you to share your desired contact, ignoring all the unwanted contact. Go to the contacts option of your iPhone and select all the contacts that you want to share with your android phone. After you are done with selection swipe done, and you will see an option to transfer the contacts via mail or your text. Enter the mail of your android phone, if you are sharing using mail, or you can enter your phone number if you are sharing using text. This is an easy method to help you transfer all your contact if you don’t have much. For only a few contacts you should prefer using this method else you should not opt to go for it.
