Lockdown 4.0 Guideline – What is allowed and what is not!

Nationwide Lockdown was extended on May 17 till May 31 by the Centre that was initially imposed on March 24. It has given much time for the states to decide the Red, Green and Orange zones regarding to the strength of Corona virus.

Moreover, National Disaster Management Authority {NDMA}, after announcing the Lockdown 4.0 to check the spread of Covid-19, The Ministry of Home affairs {MHA}, immediately issued certain guidelines. The new guidelines are very much essential to be followed in order to deal with the current scenario.

Let’s check out, what is allowed and what is not as Lockdown 4.0 Guidelines:


  • Auto-rickshaws, Cabs, Buses may operate whereas for the vehicles under inter-state will be decided mutually by the states.
  • Rail, Metro and Air services will continue to be cancelled, except in case of any special permits.
  • All shops can open but the malls and containment zones will remain closed.
  • Salon and Barber shops may open.
  • Online shopping platforms are allowed to deliver essential and non-essential items.
  • Restaurants will be open but only with take-way facility.
  • Gathering related to Political and religious issues are prohibited.
  • In case of a Wedding more than 50 guests and for funeral more than 20 are not allowed.
  • In Office Scenario, employee strength must be 33%, work from home must be implemented and follow Social distancing.
  • Wearing masks are mandatory in work place and public place.
  • Night curfew from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. is still in force for not so required services.
  • Certain group of persons who are at high risk such as Pregnant Women, 65 years above and children below 10 must remain at home.
  • Meanwhile, States can decide outlining the zones for Red, Orange, Green and Containment zones.
  • As usual all the Malls, Schools and Colleges to be shut down.
